Importing issues from Jira

Hello,
I am trying to import a test project from a Jira XML file. The project, components and versions seem to be imported ok, but no issues are imported, and so the process is finally rolled back.
The log file does not seem to give any indications of what went wrong, so I tried running DebugView, and the following exception occurred for each issue to import:
[3068] CounterSoft.Gemini.DataImport 3.6.1 Build 2571: Exception occurs on Issue creation. La référence d'objet n'est pas définie à une instance d'un objet. :: CounterSoft.Gemini.DataImport.Mapping :: à CounterSoft.Gemini.DataImport.Mapping.BaseImporter.GetUserIDByUserName(String userName)
[3068] à CounterSoft.Gemini.DataImport.Mapping.BaseImporter.CreateJiraIssues(Project project, List`1 issues, Boolean isMapCall, Hashtable versionLUT)
Sorry, ran this on a french system, so the exception is partially in french, but I guess this translates as "Object reference not set to an instance of an object".
The test project contains one single user, which also exists in the Gemini database.
And the server runs of Windows 2003 R2 / SQL Express 2005.
Any idea of what goes wrong?
Thanks in advance

Just a quick note to let everyone know that I did provide the file as requested, and got a working patch for the DataImport utility a few hours later, which solved the problem.
Many thanks to the support team at Countersoft for its great responsiveness.
